I have over twelve years experience as a graphic designer—starting as a desktop publisher in a quick print shop, spanning several agencies during the dot-com boom of the mid-nineties, and ending as the Senior Graphic Designer at the Woodruff Arts Center in April 2007, when I made the decision to freelance full-time.
I have taught graphic design for over eight years, starting as the Visual Communications head at Atlanta Technical College. I taught desktop publishing and computer workshops at the Atlanta College of Art as an adjunct professor from 2001–2006. And, I presently offer desktop publishing and graphic design classes for the community education program at SCAD Atlanta.
I was born in the hills of East Tennessee. I moved to Atlanta in 1993 to attend college at the Atlanta College of Art. While earning my BFA in Communication Design, I met a persistent, annoying artist named Tony Ross (whom I immediately disliked). He eventually grew on me, and we were married in February 1998. We are expecting our first child, Isabella, in Nov of 2009.
I like to read, solve puzzles, knit, collect fonts, crochet, make jewelry, collect art, sew, care for critters, play Final Fantasy, sip single-malt Irish whiskey, and wear funky socks.
